Connect your tool
Add https://app.docsie.io/mcp as a remote MCP server and sign in to Docsie. To let your assistant create and edit, tick Workspace create and edit on the sign-in screen; it's off by default. Client menus change often: if a step has moved, look for "connectors" or "MCP servers" in its settings.
Then run /mcp, choose docsie and sign in.
Settings → Tools & MCP → Add custom MCP:
Save, then authenticate when Cursor prompts you.
Add Docsie to ~/.codex/config.toml with a service token from Docsie's MCP Access settings:
Add to .vscode/mcp.json:
Start the server from the file and sign in.
MCP panel → Add custom MCP, through mcp-remote:
For a bot many people use, such as a Copilot Studio agent, an admin creates a service token scoped to one workspace and chosen packs, and can revoke it any time.
Security and team agents →Permissions
A connection belongs to the person who authorized it, is limited to one Docsie organization and to the workspaces that person can already see, and exposes only the permission packs selected on the sign-in screen.

FAQ
Yes. Docsie runs a hosted MCP server at https://app.docsie.io/mcp. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, VS Code, Windsurf, Devin and other clients that support remote MCP servers can connect to it with OAuth.
Docsie does: its MCP server lets the people who write documentation create, edit, translate and publish it, and run Docsie's apps, from their AI assistant or IDE. Connections sign in to a Docsie account and see only the workspaces that account can see.
Search and read your docs; create and edit articles; translate and publish versions; turn videos into guides, knowledge bases, courses, slides and transcripts; turn PDFs into help centers, courses, quizzes and slides; compare documents and videos; analyze videos; and check content against compliance rules.
Editing and running apps need the Workspace create and edit pack, which is off by default. Sign in again and tick it on Docsie's consent screen.
No. The server is hosted by Docsie. Clients without remote-server support can connect through the mcp-remote bridge with one npx command.
